GUIDE TEXT FOR ALL NEW MEMBERS:

New member Information

Ok, let's get started.
This clan is a group of mature people who enjoy playing online games with fun in mind. We tend to be very successful ingame through excellent teamwork and cooperation. We are an informal clan and this means that occasionally we may decide to mess about for a few games: anything from being sniper only squads to stealing all the vehicles from a map.

So to set your first right: With us, you are entitled to have fun!

Right number two: When you enter a server and you see a squad lead by =FU= player, if it's not already filled with =FU= members, you are entitled to ask for a place in that squad.
Be advised there are some exceptions for this rule. For example, if the squad contains a potential new members, squad leader might ask you to join other squad or form your own squad.
Real life friends playing with a member also have the right to stay in the squad.

Right number three: You are entitled to choose the way you like to fight, be it ground or air combat. Despite this right, it's highly recommended to participate in some pre-planned efforts with others if such decisions are made.
For example: on Dragon Valley, taking the Refinery and thus eliminating enemy J-10's will require co-ordination between ground and air troops.

Those are the most important rights which you have. Common sense will tell you other rights. Use it while playing with us.

All right, it's time to apply some rules.
When you are playing with the =FU= tag, you are a representative of all of us, so here are some important rules when you play under the =FU= tag:
- When you enter an =FU= squad, ask squad leader, which kit is required.
- If you are a member of an =FU= squad, you will follow the squad leader's commands and do as you have been told. Naturally, if you see some urgent situation which can be solved by immediate actions, inform your leader that you are going to help out elsewhere.
- If you are a squad leader and you get a request from another =FU= member to have a place in your squad, you will have to kick non =FU= players from the squad, to make room for a member. When you do have to kick a non =FU= player, always explain why they are being kicked, and let them know they can rejoin when a slot becomes available. Exceptions are according to those mentioned in the Right Rule Two.
- In vanilla, spot the enemy before engaging. Always spot helicopters and vehicles if you have possibility. This gives the whole team the intelligence needed to react to any situation.

Here are few important outside game rules:
- Ensure you join the X-Fire clan list. Instructions on how to do this will be sent to you via email upon joining =FU=.
Use of X-Fire is really important for all of us to be able to find other =FU= members already playing.
- Be active on the =FU= forum. This is one way to gain higher status in the clan.
- Inform others or post in the forum if you know you will be off-line for a long period.
- If you are uncertain about any issue, send a personal mail to a gold member or make a thread in the forum.

Membership colors:
=FU= clan employs a trial period system to decide whether new members meet the requirements of =FU=. As such, trial members wear a different tag to full =FU= members.
The trial member tag is =FU_T=, which we would ask you to wear ingame. This lets all =FU= members know that you are a new member.

IMPORTANT: Trial members have limited access to the clan discussion forum. If you are chosen to become a full member, the administrators shall give you full member rights and access to the forum.
Full members are divided into three classes; Black, Green and Gold, and for the potential candidates we have Trial memberships. Black is the first level of membership, Green the Second, and Gold the highest.

The colored name is an award/promotion for good service and activity within =FU=.
Below is a summary of the minimum requirements to achieve Gold Member status, you must:
1) Be registered at the Forum
2) Be an active member for a minimum of 3 months
3) Use X-Fire
4) Use Teamspeak when needed

Any full =FU= member can recruit new members. If you feel that a member deserves a promotion to green or veteran status, consult a member who already has Gold membership about the issue, they will take the matter up for discussion with the other Gold members.

Leaving the clan:
In at any time you wish to leave =FU= clan after you have been accepted as a member, we ask you to send a message to one of the following: a Senior admin, your squad leader, your platoon leader or the commander. . You don't have to explain your reasons if you don't want but naturally some short comment is desirable.

Forum Rules:
Please use common sense and be polite toward other members. If it would offend you, don't post it.
No real life personal issues, political discussions (clan politics allowed), religious, racist, drug related or pornographic posts.
No posts with content intended to harm =FU= or a member of =FU=

And remember, =FU= is a gaming clan intended for adults and mature people - behave accordingly.

Clan Rules:

These rules have been rendered to protect the clan members and the clan itself.
A membership is only possible when the rules are accepted.

1. Cheating

The clan does not cheat whatever you have heard or read. It's absolutely prohibited for
all members and trial-members. Those who cheat (hacking/padding/glitching) will lose their membership within Freelancers Union with immediate effect. If a trial member breaks one of the TV2 rules and gets banned, the trial member will not be accepted as a member. If a member gets a permanent ban from TV2, the member will also be kicked from Freelancers Union.

2. Trial-Membership

Before you can become a full member you have to be a trial member for a minimum of 4 weeks,
and the following requirements must be satisfied:

You must have a global score of 2500 or more (exceptions allowed for PR)
You must be registered at the forum
You must have X-Fire
You must have a microphone
You must speak and understand English properly
You must have Teamspeak2 Installed. (Teamspeak 2 Client can be downloaded from http://www.goteamspeak.com/?page=downloads.

4. No Drama queens!

Respect your fellow member and maintain the FFF* spirit of =FU=. Personal affairs should be handled privately and not be forced upon the whole clan to deal with.
*(Fair, Fun, Friendly)

5. Sunday Games Rules
When we arrange specific activities during Sunday Games, it is essential that every member is on Teamspeak. if Teamspeak is unavailable, make the effort of using the chat function on X-Fire. It is a waste of time and very annoying for other members when one person sabotages the activity. When inviting friends outside the clan to join Sunday Games, inform them of this rule.

If you are about to join the =FU= server, ask on Teamspeak what's going on. It may be that we are playing a PCW or a game with specific rules which you will need to be aware of

6. Additional rules

-It is every individual members duty to check the forum on a regular basis and keep themselves updated on the clan activities and clan news.
-No Retards. If you can't fill the application properly, don't join.

-Age limit of =FU= is 18. Younger players can only join in exceptional circumstances. For example family members or where multiple veteran members reccomend them.

PCW Rules:

From time to time we play in games against other clans. It is not compulsory to join, however it can be a lot of fun and we would reccomend that you try it out. PCW's follow a different structure of playing than the normal =FU= form, and requires full concentration and an order of battle.
Any =FU= or =FU_T= member may sign up to participate in a PCW using the forum. any member who is participating in a PCW needs to be up to date on tactics agreed and follow their squad leader and the orders given. =FU= play these games to win!

General PCW Code of conduct

The normal clan rules apply in PCW
Do not offend the opposing clan in any way or form, be mature and behave professionally.

Disciplinary Measures

After Admin/GC/League leader consideration, a player who clearly breaks or ignores rules and agreed tactics in PCW's will face disciplinary measures. Each case will be handled on an individual basis
(This is just a guideline, and the first case of negligence may result in a perm-ban from all PCW's in the future)

1st case of negligence: Warning/Ban for 1 PCW (dependent on case of negligence)
2nd case of negligence: Bann for 1 PCW
3rd case of negligence: Perm-ban from all PCW for 1 year

The leader of the league (different for PR and for Vanilla) has the liberty to choose suited players over others if more people sign up then available spaces. Any record of negligence will have an effect when choosing candidates.

Any questions may be asked to your Squad leader, platoon leader, commander, any administrator or a gold member.
